Preface

I can’t count the number of times that I’ve drafted this opening sentence in mind, striking it out and rewriting it, revising and then scrapping it only to start all over.  Knowing myself quite well and recognizing that I would be in search of the most fitting words and sentences for weeks if not months to come without much progress, I decided to take a stream of consciousness approach so if you’re looking for a literary masterpiece, the type of reading material that my friend Adrian seems to effortlessly produce, then let me spare you time and disappointment. Otherwise, welcome to my journey!  I hope you’ll enjoy reading about it as much as I’ve been enjoying living it.
